After playing the villainous Rishab Lamba in Ravi Chopra's <em> Viraasat,</em> actor Aman Verma has not been seen on our television screen these days. As the buzz goes, he was last approached by Balaji to essay the role of Om in<em> Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki </em> but for reasons unknown it didn't work out. "After <em> Viraasat</em>, I haven't received any interesting character oriented roles. I'm in no hurry and will wait till some plum role comes my way. After constantly working on daily soaps for eight years, I'm enjoying this much needed break."

Parvati Bhabhi has been carrying<em> Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki </em> all alone for quite long. Om Bhaiyya died a while back and the story now focuses on the conflict between Parvati, Janki and Trishna. The latest buzz on the Balaji front is that the creative team is trying hard to get Om back on the show. So, who will be the next Om? The buzz is that it could be one of these - Kiran Karmarkar, Parmeet Sethi or Aman Verma. We, at Tellychakkar talked to the three actors about it and here's what they have to say.

Aman Verma is all set to enter the <em>Ek Ladki Anjaani Si</em> track shortly. He will play a character who spies on Ananya, (who has Nikhil's baby) and reports it to the police. He plays Nikhil's( played by Shakti Anand)old college friend who is hired to solve Nikhil's problems and do a lot of things for him. His character in the show is called Surya Pratap Yadav. It is reportedly a long track. Aman has already started shooting for the show. The actor has not yet shot with Kanchi Kaul(Anu in the show). He will be on air from Monday,20 February.

Aman Verma's loss is Shekhar Suman's gain. In about a week's time, Shekhar will be seen as the host of <em>Dial One Aur Jeeto</em> on SaharaOne alongside co-host Mandira Bedi. Aman had entered the show some weeks after Mandira launched the interactive game show on the channel earlier this year, as he was busy till then with the finals of <em>Indian Idol</em> on Sony. He brought in a distinctive style of hosting, going 'Balle Balle' whenever a viewer got the right answer.

Sting operations seem to be the flavour of the season! Taking off from the sting operations conducted by India TV, Zee's <em>Tumhari Disha</em> will air episodes on 4, 5 and 6 April.

One day after India TV aired the sting operation snaring television personality Aman Verma, the <em>Indian Idol</em> host called a press conference where film personalities Salman Khan, Govinda, Arbaaz Khan, Ravi Chopra, Pahlaj Nihalani, Raj Kanwar, Suneel Darshan pledged their support to him. The assembled film dignitaries rattled off well rehearsed speeches backing Aman, who himself entered Mehboob Studios 45 minutes late, wearing dark glasses. Shah Rukh Khan, who Aman had said would be present at the meet, did not put in an appearance.
