Khichdi actor Amit Varma is all set to collaborate with JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia's popular drama series Wagle Ki Duniya. The actor will be seen as Harshad's cousin in the show who has come from the US.

But this is not an impulsive decision from his end as his exit was very much planned. The actor had already informed the production house about his decision even before inking the contract.

The last time one heard of Amit Varma was when he was duped by a few naughty girls who made him foot the bill at a restaurant. Since then, the actor is keeping his distance with unknown fans. A lot of people were surprised by his long absence. Some even wondered whether Amit had quit television. Clearing the air he says, “I haven’t quit television. I was just busy shooting for my film. I’m playing a prominent role in Aziz Mirza’s upcoming film. It has Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan as the main leads. I can’t divulge many details,” he concludes.
