Talented actor <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/pawan-shankar-balajis-untitled-show-sony>Pawan Shankar</a>’s long delayed film Mr Bhatti on Chutti will finally see the light of the day. It will release on 18 May 2012. Talking about his character, Prem, an excited Pawan says, “I play an unemployed youngster who borrows money and goes to England and gets involved with a British girl. To find out what happens later, does he continue with the <em>firang</em> or find an Indian woman, you have to watch the film.”

Veteran actor Ravi Baswani – who was co-incidentally always a part of shows and films that went on to achieve a cult status – is no more. He starred in the black comedy <em>Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron</em>, the delightful <em>Chashme Baddoor</em> and other TV shows like <em>Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Idhar Udhar</em> and <em>Just Mohabbat</em>. The 64-year-old died of a massive heart attack, last afternoon, in Haldwani, near Nainital. The actor was seen in 30 films and has several popular shows to his credit.

After wooing the youth of the country with his portrayal of Piddhi in Sunn Yaar Chill Maar, Sandeep Anand has taken a big leap and will now be seen on the big screen in Admissions Open. Anand will be sharing the screen space with the likes of Anupam Kher and Ashish Vidyarthi. The movie is directed by Satyam Dabbu and is all set to release on May 14.

The search for India’s future leader begins on 8th December as Star One and the Times of India present <em> ‘Lead India’,</em> a reality show with the objective of giving the country its next generation of leaders. Hosted by Anupam Kher, the show will have a jury comprising of Javed Akhtar, Kiran Bedi and Vikas Singh. The contestants will compete through a series of 10 episodes and the winner will be awarded a sum of Rs. 50 lakhs for their dream project.

Sameer Soni, who came into prominence with his role as Purab in Sony's <em>Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin</em> will now be seen in a character role in Rajshri Productions' next film, <em>Vivah</em>. Sameer plays Shahid Kapoor's elder brother in the movie. "I am definitely very excited about <em>Vivah</em> as it is under Rajshri banner. I play Shahid''s elder brother. Coming to Soorajji, oh! It was great. He is such a relaxed person. It is something I can never forget. And my other co-stars, it was amazing," says the actor. Sources say that there were other choices in place of Sameer.
