On 20 August, the media had reported that a political party had warned songstress <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/asha-bhosale-sets-stage-fire>Asha Bhosle</a> against sharing screen space with a Pakistani vocalist on the platform of Colors’ and Sahara One’s music-based reality show <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/star-gazing/sur-kshetra-be-average-fare>Sur-Kshetra</a></em>, because it felt that it was improper to share the stage with someone from Pakistan that was harbouring terrorists who were targeting India.

The fifth gala round saw the legendary Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj join the Top 6 contestants for an Indian classical fusion themed episode. All the judges and contestants touched his feet and took his blessings. He performed a song which had everyone mesmerized. Pandit<em>ji</em> was seen complementing Asha<em>ji</em>’s necklace. He also offered the judges supari that he always carries and eats.

It seems difficult for girls to make it to the top in the current season of <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/yashraj-out-indian-idol-5>Indian Idol</a>. Arpita Khan is the latest to be eliminated thus leaving behind only two girls in the competition.

After <em> Biggest Loser Jeetega,</em> Sahara One will soon offer its viewers another unique reality show. The untitled project will have celebrities matching their vocal chords with professional singers. As the buzz goes, the show has roped in Asha Bhosle as one of the judges.
