The utterly beautiful and gracious Smita Bansal, better known as Sumitra of Colors’ Balika Vadhu, wore her dancing shoes just three months post her pregnancy to participate in Star Plus’ <em>Nach Baliye season 5</em>. But unfortunately she will be seen moving out of the show this week.

Pratyusha Banerjee, who has become a household name with her splendid performance as Anandi in Colors’ <em>Balika Vadhu</em> (Sphere Origins), is on cloud nine these days. It is time to rejoice for the <em>Balika Vadhu</em> team, as according to the recent TRP report, both the show and Colors channel, have attained the no. 1 position in their respective categories. We got in touch with Pratyusha to know about her feelings and she shared. “I am really very happy that <em>Balika Vadhu</em> is on the peak right now. On the whole, this is all a result of a splendid team effort.”

The pretty and graceful <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/anjum-farooki-wed-29-december>Anjum Farooqi</a> (Gauri of Balika Vadhu) is enjoying her new found wedding bliss. She was formally married to merchant navy official Saqeb Sayed on 29 November (2012). “It was a very private wedding that was graced by family members and a few friends. The ones who represented the TV industry were Pratyusha Banerjee and Shashank Vyas,” she informs.

Sriti has been brought in to be the love interest of Jagya aka Shashank Vyas. In a chat with Tellychakkar.com, Sriti gave us a brief on her role in the long running show.

Tall and handsome Shashank Vyas is another actor who is in no mood to bring in 2013 with a lot of buzz and boom. Why? Let’s hear it from the man who portrays excellently the role of Jagya in Colors’ <em>Balika Vadhu</em> (Sphere Origins). “2012 for me was very good both professionally and personally. But I am not at all happy about anything after hearing about the Delhi gang rape case.”

In the New Year, Colors is all set to offer viewers an extra dose of fiction by airing popular shows <em>Sasural Simar Ka, Balika Vadhu</em> and <em>Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon</em> six days a week. With this expansion, the channel beefs up its weekend entertainment quotient by offering something for everyone in the family. Complementing the current line-up of weekend shows Bigg Boss-6, Shaitaan, fiction shows will complete the entertainment bouquet for Colors.

A lot has been written in the media about Sriti Jha’s big entry in the long-running show. We hear that the actress has shot for the promo yesterday (26 December) and will start shoot soon.
