What are your thoughts on turning 60?
I feel blessed and very happy. I am surrounded by my loved ones. I’ve completed 466 film scores. Out of these 400 are Hindi films. At least in Bollywood this record is unequalled. My song Pyar chahiye mujhe har ghadi is the anthem of my life. I want to be loved every moment. Because I love every moment.
It’s hard to believe you are 60…

Bappi Lahiri, who plays a full-fledged role of a Disco king in It's Rocking Dard-E-Disco has dedicated his role to his late maternal uncle and legendary singer-actor Kishore Kumar.
Said the 59-year old singer, “Earlier, I have acted in films like Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, Om Shanti Om, Kalakaar but those were guest appearances. But, in this film I have acted in the real sense. Since I have acted taking my mamaji Kishore Kumar as my idol, I have dedicated my acting in this film to Kishore Kumarji.”

Producer-director Nikhil Advani must have thought he had pulled off a coup of sorts when he got the rights of the old Bappi Lahiri Kishore Kumar-S Janaki duet Tu mera tota main teri maina from the 1989 film Paap Ki Duniya, for his animation film Delhi Safari.
The song fitted into Advani’s film like a hand in glove since it was filmed on a parrot in the film about ecological imbalance and animal welfare. The parrot incidentally speaks in the voice of Akshaye Khanna and in fact Advani intended to record the song Tu mera tota in Khanna’s voice.
