Amit Dolawat who is currently seen in Zee’s<em> Betiyaan </em>has entered Sahara One’s<em> Zaara</em> in the role of a Muslim boy. He will be the love interest of Khushi (Ami Trivedi). The actor is all charged up for his new role as he will be romancing the heroine for the first time in his career. “For the first time I’ll be playing a romantic lead in the show. The best part about this show is that I can be myself,” says Amit.

Sid Makkar, who rose to fame with Zee's Betiyaan is enjoying his current stint with <em>Mere Apne </em>on 9X. He is essaying the role of Shankar, the youngest son of Kashinath Pandey (Vinod Khanna) in the show. Sid is so fond of Shankar's character that now he wants to be like him in real life as well. "Shankar is the character that is very close to my heart. I would love to be like him in my real life too," says Sid.
