Bidaai turns full circle

Star Plus’ numero uno show <em> Bidaai</em> has turned full circle. The show which began against the background of the most romantic place in the world-Agra has once again returned to the city of love.<em> Bidaai </em> is currently shooting in Agra at the Taj Mahal for a romantic track between Ranbir Rajvansh (Kinshuk Mahajan) and Ragini (Parul Chuahan).

Romit’s best moment ever

Romit Raj aka Yuvraj of <em>Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan</em> is entering <em>Bidaai</em>. The actor will play himself in the show. Few know that it was Rajan Shahi, the then director of <em>Betiyaan,</em> who got Romit the role of Yuvraj Garodia in the show. Romit who is playing a well-known TV star on the show has come to attend the wedding reception of Sadhana and Alekh. Talking about his role and character, Romit says, “I am going to play myself on the show. It is best moment of my life. This is a big compliment for me as the producer has zeroed down on me to play the character.”

Wedding bells ring on different channels

Its wedding season on television and different channels are cashing in on this. Last week the viewers witnessed one of the best off-screen couple Hiten and Gauri Tejwani tie the knot as Karan and Nandini on Star Plus' <em> Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.</em> The couple after much will they won't they finally tied the knot in the presence of their parents and children.

Rajan finds talent at home

Producer Rajan Shahi’s five year old daughter Ishika will soon be seen in her home production <em> Bidaai</em>. The little girl will be shaking a leg with the lead actresses Parul Chauhan and Sara Khan on <em> Bidaai</em>. Producer Rajan says, “<em> Bidaai</em> is like my extended family and we are shooting the marriage of Sara who plays Sadhna on the show. My daughter always wanted to meet Parul and Sara as she is very fond of them and watches the show regularly. I couldn’t find any better occasion than this.”

Two villains in love

Ashita Dhawan who essays the negative role of Malti in <em> Bidaai </em> and Saillesh Gulabani who plays a negative role in <em> Mein Aisi Kyun Hoon</em> are an item. The two met at the Star Parivaar awards party three years back in 2005 and hit it off instantly. Ashita says, “I met Saillesh at the Star Parivaar post awards party which was held at Marriot. It has been almost three years of our relationship. There has been no formal declaration of love from either side. Things just took off gradually.”

Its only name and fame for Parul

Parul Chauhan aka Ragini of <em> Bidaai</em> has no interest in making <em>moolah</em>. She is happy and content with the show and the popularity that she gets from it. Hence Parul wants to give her hundred percent to <em> Bidaai</em>. “I don’t want to take away the sympathy that Ragini gets. If I do two shows at a time then I won’t be justice to either of the characters. Through Ragini I got name and fame which I don’t want to share with any other character,” says Parul.

Rajesh to enter Bidaai

Star Plus’ <em>Bidaai</em>, serial sans glam quotient is consistently garnering a TRP of four plus despite its simplicity and no saas-bahu slant to sail it through. What sets this serial apart from other soaps in the league is its regular introduction of cameos that attach one link of the story to another and makes it interesting. Till now <em>Mahesh Thakur, Manish Raisinghania, Neeta Shetty, Rucha Gujrati</em> and Vishal Singh have made cameo appearances in the<em> Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai.</em>

Mahesh exits Bidaai; enters Jiya Jale

The show has been on air for barely a week but Star Plus' <em> Bidaai</em> has witnessed its first death. Noted actor Mahesh Thakur, who plays Kishenchand, will no longer be seen on the show.

Manish on the move

Manish Raisinghania has his hands full. Apart from his act in <em> Teen Bahuraniya,</em> the actor has been roped in to play a cameo in Star Plus's new flick <em> Bidaai.</em> Apparently, he'll also be featuring in Rajiv Goswami's music video. Elaborating on his character in <em> Bidaai</em> he says, "I'll be portraying the character of Saket who belongs to a rich family- based in Agra. I'll play the love interest of Ragini (Parul Chauhan) and Sadhana (Sarah Khan). It's a cameo but a very interesting role."
