Aashish Kaul joins Piya Ka Ghar

Aashish Kaul, the suave Delhiite who plays Subroto Basu in <em>Kasautii Zindagi Kay</em>, is now trying his hand in afternoon soaps as well. Aashish will be seen as Munna, a con man a la Abhishek Bachchan in <em>Bunty Aur Babli</em>, in Zee daily <em>Piya Ka Ghar</em> from Thursday. The guy has kept a deliberate low profile in tellywood, despite having played key roles in <em>Ghutan, Kkusum</em> and <em>Kahanii Ghar Ghar Ki</em> on Star and <em>Saathiya</em> on Sahara One. But that was then and this is now.

'Lagan's' Guran turns photographer in 'Hotel Kingston'

Rajesh Vivek, one of Ashutosh Gowariker's favourite character artistes, makes his first telly appearance as a maverick Photographer in Star One's <em>Hotel Kingston</em>. Vivek, who is shown staying in the Hotel, is roped in by the staff to cover the engagement ceremony of Govind Sahi (owner of the Hotel) and Devyani, along with the engagement of Shelly Sahai and Nick. Rajesh Vivek was first noticed as the villain in Shekhar Kapoor's <em>Joshilay</em> starring Anil Kapoor and Sunny Deol. He went on to do a host of other roles in popular films like <em>Tridev</em>.
