Dekh Indian Circus

Looks like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who after his debut film Kahaani has been bagging roles right, left and centre. And now after he made his mark in Anurag Kashyap’s <em>Gangs Of Wasseypur</em> 2, National award winning director Mangesh Hadawle has signed the actor to essay a mute character in <em>Dekh Indian Circus</em>. The film highlights the problems faced by a family staying in a village in Rajasthan and the aspirations of rural India.

Half of the month Mangesh Hadwale spends in his village in Maharashtra farming. The other half of the month is spent in Mumbai in the role of a filmmaker. A lot of his own experiences as a creative artiste torn between what he calls the “glossy excesses” of the city and village have gone into the making of his second film <em>Dekh Indian Circus</em>.

National award winner Dekh Indian Circus has got a new admirer in Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who released his latest film <em>Ferrari Ki Sawari </em> only last week. Audiences were surprised to see the trailer of <em>Dekh Indian Circus</em> attached to the film. But how did Chopra attach the trailer to his film? It so happened that after the film’s cinematographer Laxman Utekar impressed upon Chopra to see the promo of his film, he had a look at the promo.
