Saira Banu marked her 57th wedding anniversary with late legendary actor Dilip Kumar by sharing a rare video from their wedding ceremony on Instagram. The veteran actor also penned a heartfelt note expressing her enduring love for Dilip and shared how she had dreamt of marrying the superstar since a young age.

Veteran Bollywood actor Saira Banu has been quite active on Instagram, sharing tidbits from her personal and professional life. Saira took to the photo-sharing site on Monday to share an interesting anecdote about her engagement with legendary actor Dilip Kumar.

Director Anil Sharma recalled his first-ever meeting with Dharmendra, with whom he’d collaborate several times in his career. He said that he was working as an assistant on the film The Burning Train at the time, and was on set at RK Studios when Dharmendra stopped by and brought everything to a standstill.

In the note, Fardeen shared how his father refused to change his name post-partition, highlighting his commitment to secular ideals. Fardeen also praised recent releases like Gadar 2 and Jawan for promoting unity and diversity.

Saeeda was married to Iqbal Khan who was the son of Producer Mehboob Khan. Iqbal passed away in 2018. He was the trustee of Mehboob Studios, which was founded by his father in 1954.

Shah Rukh Khan was among the first people to arrive when Dilip Kumar passed away, according to Saira Banu. The seasoned actress posted a clip of SRK giving Dilip Kumar one of the original posters from his timeless film ‘Mughal-E-Azam,’ which Dilip Kumar then signed, on Instagram.

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar's bungalow is set to undergo a transformation. It is believed that the actor’s family has agreed to demolish the bungalow to give space for a luxurious residential project.

After a long ailment, Dilip Kumar died on July 7 last year. Several Bollywood stars including Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shah Rukh Khan visited Dilip's house and burial ground to pay their last respects.

Her daughter Kanchan Ghanekar shared the heartbreaking news of her demise.
