It is your loved ones who make your birthday extra-special. In fact that is exactly what TV star Gaurav Chopraa’s (who is currently acting in Uttaran and is in Big Switch 4) friends did on his birthday today (4 April 2013). He was longing for a break from his hectic shooting schedule. His friends took him on a surprise trip to Udaipur. When we called him he was at a royal palace. He told us, “My friends have made me feel like a king on my birthday. This vacation was the best birthday gift ever. It is the thought behind the gift which is important. It is not important how flashy it is.”

Gaurav Chopraa, who hosts Big Switch on Bindaas, is quite excited and kicked with the way his show is shaping up. “The youth today is very smart and know their minds. You need to win their respect to make them do what you want, lest they will show you their middle finger. I was quite honest and upfront with them,” says Gaurav.

Gaurav who is known to be a foodie but is also very particular about his diet took to eating the healthy Tibetan food available in that region. So particular was he about eating only the healthy that he actually went on a Tibetan food diet.

The media has already flashed the news that Gaurav Chopraa will be seen as the host of Bindass’ upcoming reality show Big Switch. But many are not aware of the fact that it is not Gaurav, but Madhura who was the first choice to anchor the project. A source informed that Madhura had a one year contract with Bindass according to which she was also to feature in Big Switch. But later the channel went ahead to rope in Gaurav. The move definitely irked the actress and she went on to call off the contract with the channel.
