Since he was flying out to Hyderabad that evening to be a guest of honour at an event, we decided to have lunch together at the oriental fine dine restaurant The Great Wall at the five-star hotel, The Leela, at Sahar.

<strong>Click on the pic to view slideshow</strong> “I never go to bed on a full stomach,” rued the health-conscious, multi-faceted persona, Anuj Saxena as that’s (almost full stomach) precisely what ensued the evening we went out for dinner to Hornby’s Pavillion, the all-day dining of the 5 star hotel ITC Grand Central at Parel which was hosting Royal Rajasthani food festival with Master Chef Kailash Chand Meena’s vast and authentic repertoire.

<Strong>Click on the pic to view slideshow</strong> So far the venues for dinner of all the actors I have invited for a tete-a-tete have been decided by me. But when I called up Tisca Chopra to take this stylish and attractive Bollywood actor (<em>Taare Zameen Par, Dil Tho Bachcha Hai, Firaq</em> and more), TV anchor and writer out for dinner, she readily agreed but made it clear the restaurant would have to be the hi-end Michelin-starred London-based Chinese restaurant Yauatcha located in BKC, from the stable of KA Hospitality.

<strong>Click on the pic to view slideshow</strong> I have always admired Sumeet Raghavan for his serious sense of humour on television – remember the dead pan kind of humour in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. For hours on end I can watch him get pissed over the viewers’ demand for Savita Bhabhi in Jay Hind, the entertaining <em>Late Night Show</em> on Colors channel or sing along with him in <em>Star Ya Rockstar</em>. I called him up and fixed our lunch date at Peninsula Restaurant of Hotel Peninsula The Grand at Saki Naka.

As Onam falls on the 29 of this month (August), I felt it would be appropriate to take Mallu (for the uninitiated Mallu is slang for a Keralite) and my dear friend Suresh Menon, the funny radio jockey and laughter king of television and movies for the rest of you, for a gastronomic outing. The venue was fixed for lunch at Sankalp restaurant in Chembur.

<strong>Click on the pic to view slideshow</strong> As I got feelers that the 5-star Hotel Grand Sarovar Premiere in Goregoan is hosting an Independence Day Brunch at its all-day dining restaurant 180 Degrees, with Jewels of India festival, I made up my mind not to miss this opportunity to take a celeb friend of mine for a nawabi outing. And, who better than Adaa Khan, the regal princess Amrit of Amrit Manthan from Life OK to savour the royal cuisines of our country.
