Tellychakkar had earlier reported that Star One is gearing up for a complete revamp of which we have been giving regular updates. Well, the latest bit we hear is that the channel is launching a comedy show tentatively titled <em>Laughter ke fatke</em>. The concept of the show is not yet clear but it is said the show will take a humorous look at news and current affairs. Produced by Vipul D Shah’s Optimystix the shooting of the same has begun today.

A little birdie whispers that the couple who will replace Amir and Sanjeeda are the new love birds Ali Merchant and Sara Khan. But the news comes with a rider that Sara and Ali will only do two episodes. A source from the show says, “Ali and Sara were always the favourite couple of the channel and the production house and the channel wanted to have them on-board as participants. Somehow things didn’t materialise but now the channel has got them to host the show for two episodes. The format of the show has always invited celebrity guest hosts to anchor some episodes.”

A day after we broke the news of Hema Malini being offered the judge’s role in Colors and SOL productions’ upcoming show <em> Dancing Queen </em>, it’s time to unravel the host. Stepping into the anchor’s shoes once again will be none other Shabbir Ahluwalia. Shabbir didn’t respond to our call nor SMS. However, a reliable source, who is associated the show informs, “Since the show mainly involves girls, it was deemed fit to have a male as host. Shabbir is going to be the sole anchor of the show.” Officials from Colors and SOL remained unavailable for comment.

Aryan Vaid, aka Duryodhan of<em> Kahani Hamaray Mahabharat Ki,</em> will now be seen anchoring Zee Muzic’s brand new lifestyle show- <em> Whatt A Life! </em> The show launches on 28 September at 7.00 pm. A half-hour show, Whatt A Life! has been shot in the exotic and luxurious locales of Goa, a favourite destination for all Bollywood denizens. Whatt A Life! promises to take viewers through the gamut of tinsel town’s rich and famous stars’ lives, their luxurious lifestyles, their fetishes, their preferred restaurants, their idea of luxury and their style statements!

There is a twist in the news. Mini Mathur, who has been hosting every season of <em> Indian Idol</em>, had opted out of<em> Indian Idol 4 </em> as she was pregnant with her second child. But now, things seem to be different. The charming Mini is tipped to host the baap of all reality shows, <em> Indian Idol 4</em>.

9X has a spate of shows in the offing and one of them is Siddharth Kak's <em> Sambhav Kya </em>. The show is reportedly on the lines of Star One's <em> Maano Ya Na Maano</em> which was hosted by Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan. According to a source from the production house, "This bi-weekly show will be hosted by Iqbal Khan and will air on Fridays and Saturdays. The show is slated to air from 10 October in the primetime slot and the first episode will showcase three stories based on true incidents. Each story will run for 15 minutes."

Going by last year’s precedent where winners of the last season host the current season, this year Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh may host<em> Nach Baliye 4</em>. But neither confirming nor denying the fact is Aamir, who says, "It's not a necessary legacy for the previous winners to host the new season every time. Such decisions depend on a lot of factors. The main question is if the audiences want to see the couple on the show again." After<em> Kya Dill Mein Hain</em> this will be the second show that the couple will work together in.

Colors and UTV’s<em> Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena</em> promises to be the biggest reality show of all time. Well, going by the big names that the show has roped in, it surely is going to be one big extravaganza. Top Indian cricketers like Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Dinesh Karthik and former players Vinod Kambli and Nikhil Chopra will be matching steps with some of the leading ladies of television. Sandhya Mridul is going to host the show.

<em> Roadies </em>, the most popular adventure reality show on Indian television is back.<em> Roadies </em>6.0 is all set to roll soon. When it comes to hosting <em> Roadies</em>, who can do it better than Ranvijay? The source further informed, “Ranvijay will be the host of <em> Roadies </em> 6.0. Bani will be seen hosting the audition segment. Both of them are ex-<em> Roadies</em>.”

New comedy series <em> Kaante Ki Takkar</em> on Sony will have a multi-talented host. It is the vivacious Purbi Joshi who will be seen hosting this hilarious show.
