It seems that Star's daily afternoon soap <em>Kumkum</em> has quite some plans for a revamp. After the recent gen-leap injected with a dose of new faces, a veretan actor will make an entry soon. We are talking about the seasoned actor, Anang Desai, who played the lovable dadaji in <em>Instant Khichadi</em> on Star One. In <em>Kumkum</em>, he essays the character of Ashwin Vanjera, a Gujarati lawyer.

He played the ever dependable Vishwamitra Kelkar in Star One's <em>Hotel Kingston</em>, now he is all set to make his mark in Kittu's life! Amit Verma plays a spoilt rich kid in the show, who is head over heels in love with Kittu. Amit plays Rohan Kapoor, the only son of a multi millionaire. Suave sophisticated, he is used to women swooning over him. But he discovers true love when he meets Kituu. That meeting changes him. He falls head over heels for her. Rohan learns the hard way about love and sentiments and that is his journey with Kituu!

The Batliwallas have finally moved out of Sony and they have been replaced by the Kudkudias who are going to move in on 25 November. The effervescent, but not so popular Parsi family will now make way for a typical Gujarati household. The concept of the show will remain the same, only the cast is typically gujju -- Dilip Joshi, Dimple Shah, Siddhartha and Nimisha Vakharia will now constitute the Kudkudia family. All of these actors are from Gujarati theatre.

Shweta Kawatra and hubby Manav Gohil will make a special appearance in Star One's <em>Instant Khichadi</em>. The couple seems to be seen on the telly together quite often these days, with them being guests on Sony's <em>Batliwallas</em>…just the other day!
