Jassi, aka Mona Singh will walk the ramp and rub shoulders with top models like Aditi Govitrikar and Diandra Soares in one of the forthcoming episodes of Sony's <em>Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin</em>. Reason? By now, Jassi has become a top model and wants to soar higher. So what better way than to walk the ramp and surprise Armaan Sir who is responsible in more than one way for almost all the upheaveals in her life? Amidst the fashion show, will be Amrita Arora performing an item number. This ramp show choreographed by Sharmila Khan will have Surili Goel's clothes being showcased.

Meet the team that transforms Jassi

Jassi's changing - and look who's helping her change! Jassi, whose transformation has been initiated from this week, will have her hair styled at the hands of popular hair stylist Riah. In a move that's bound to reap dividends for all parties concerned, opticians Bausch and Lomb will replace her spectacles with contact lenses. In another smart marketing move, Kaya Skin Clinic takes up the responsibility to give Jassi a glowing healthy skin.

Sony in make-over mode

No, it's not plain Jane Jasmeet Walia who is morphing into glamorous Mona Singh. Not yet. That make-over is happening either in late January or early February next year. Sony Entertainment Television has two other make-overs line up in the next few days. One,Shama Sikandar of <em>Ye Meri Life Hai</em> is all set to unfurl her hair. Obviously, the oiled look will disappear. Her wardrobe too will become more trendy. More still, there's a love track waiting to unfold in Pooja's life. As to the lucky guy, we ain' telling just yet. Keep watching the show.

Our sleuths have just sniffed out a scoop!Parmeet Sethi wants to opt out of <em>Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin</em>! But why? Sethi is not too enthu about the way his role is shaping up, they say. We decided to check out this piece of news. When contacted, Sethi gave us a long pause when we told him what we had heard. But he did not beat around the bush when he began.

Gaurav ban gaya Nandu!

Jassi may be Jassi on screen and off it, but Nandu, her male equivalent, bespectacled, well-oiled and clumsy, is definitely something else once he sheds the pancake. Gaurav Gera is as trendy and hip as they come, a far cry from the bumbling endearing simpleton he portrays in <em>Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin</em>. Nor is he worried about playing second fiddle to the buck toothed Jassi.

Idol Dreams!

If it clicks, Indian Idol, the desi version of the wildly successful Pop Idol format, could well turn television on its head in India. And Sony, the channel that will air it, is sparing no expense to ensure that the initiative pays off. The clock's ticking. Two weeks from now, the biggest music reality show to hit Indian television will kick off proceedings, promising to engulf couch potatoes and starry eyed youth in a wave calculated to beat the phenomenon that was Kaun Banega Crorepati.

They are back after a break. But do these veteran actresses feel the TV industry they have returned to, is a better place to work in? Has the comeback syndrome hit Indian television? So it would seem. How else does one explain the re-emergence of Manasi Joshi Roy, Navneet Nishan, Anita Kanwal, Sujata Mehta, Suchitra Krishnamurthy on the small screen...?
