Malayalam actor Vishak Nair stars in the political thriller and recently took to social media to reveal that he has been receiving death threats due to confusion over his role in Emergency. He said that a lot of people believed that he was portraying Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

Dhami's criticism is in response to persistent worries over Ranaut's previous statements, which have been seen as anti-Punjab and anti-Sikh.
