Ketan Kakkad

On Thursday, a Bombay High Court judge announced that it would not be possible to announce order on an appeal filed by actor Salman Khan regarding the defamation case he placed against his neighbour, Ketan Kakkad, stating there was less time. The plea will now be presented and heard over again by another judge.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan had earlier filed a Short Cause civil suit against his Panvel farmhouse neighbour Ketan Kakkad and others. He filed the suit before a Mumbai civil court seeking interim orders to restrain them from making "false, disparaging and defamatory allegations in videos/posts/tweets.''

In a key development in one of the most avidly watched pre-trials, a Mumbai court on Wednesday rejected a notice of motion filed by Bollywood megastar Salman Khan seeking a gag order on his NRI neighbour Ketan R. Kakkad from posting any content on social media.
