Anuj celebrates film sans 'Kkusums'

None of Abhay Kapoor's three successive Kkusums turned up to wish him on the completion of his first ever feature film. But that didn't stop Anuj Saxena from setting the dance floor on fire with fellow TV folk, several of whom turned up in strength to celebrate his debut on the big screen.

"I am an accident, a road block, a terrorist" Rajiv Paul

Rajiv Paul (Deven Garg in <em>Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii</em>) will be seen playing a negative character on Star Plus' afternoon soap <em>Saarrthi</em> from next week. "I am playing a character called Vajesan, who has been selected to wed the protagonist Bhumika," says Rajiv. "I am playing a negative role. He is a simple man, who is not happening. He wears simple clothes and is shown to have oil kempt hair.," he adds.

Snapshots 2004!

By the time 2004 winds up, Ansh would be shot dead. Before the year is out, Mickey Mouse has put his tentative foot in the country. And we are inching closer to the Indian Idol. Jassi's promised makeover is still a month away, and <em>Kaun Banega Crorepati</em> didn't keep its promise of a return this year. The idiot box however did a fairly good job of keeping the couch potatoes glued with dramatic soapy twists, some real good stories and a handful celebs who latched on to the tube this year. Villain with a heart of gold!

Kunika Sadanand Lall, known best for her portrayals of villainous characters, the latest being --- in <em>Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii</em>, has filed a public interest litigation seeking a ban on candidates with a criminal background from the poll fray. The petition was filed in the Bombay High Court on Thursday, 9 September.

Sex And The City to go desi?

A localised version of the original HBO series will soon occupy the spot currently filled by <em>Kittie Party</em> on Zee. This one is sure to raise a few eyebrows. Zee, that channel that's valiantly trying to create a different identity for itself with shows a trifle bolder, plans to replace the waning Kittie Party with a desi version of <em>Sex And the City</em>. The new show, produced by Shrishti Arya, is going to be titled a tame <em>Kabhie Haan Kabhi Naa</em> though.

Deepishikha: "We'll get married again in the presence of both our kids"

Less than a year ago, Deepshikha (known more as the Parveen Babi look-alike and less for her roles in <em>Kittie Party</em> and <em>Karishma- The Miracles Of Destiny</em>) had separated from hubby of five years, Jeet Upendra. Upendra, for those with long memories, was the guy who shook his torso to the famous '<em>Hawa Hawa</em>' number in <em>Don 2</em>. Deepshikha even went on record telling us that she had legally dissolved their marriage.
