Though the two love birds shared screen space in Anuj Saxena’s Kulvaddhu cupid struck them much after the show got over. It was a night after their pack-up on different sets of different shows, when a rather reticent and shy Shaleen asked Daljeet over a cup of coffee and then followed innumerable cups of coffee which continue till date. The couple is currently seen on the popular dance based reality show Nach Baliye 4 and is receiving rave reviews for their talent on the show. We caught up with Daljeet and Shaleen on the eve of their birthday.

It was hardly three months ago when Sony Entertainment Television was tomtomming its new show Kulvaddhu as the biggest thing to happen to TV. And that it would help it crawl back up the TRP charts. The publicity blitz that surrounded it made actor turned first time TV producer Anuj Saxena believe that Kulvaddhu would get all the support a show needs to become a winner. But that was not to be. On 6 March Saxena got a big jolt when he was abruptly informed that his show would be axed. And he had two weeks to wrap it up.

Two decades is a lifetime in the career of an actor and very few survive so long - Kitu Gidwani is one of them. Be it plays, films or her mainstay, television, she has established her ability for dramatics quite skilfully. Having made a debut in 1984 in one of TV's first superhits, Trishna, she went on to make a mark for herself in Swabhimaan. Last seen in Ravi Rai's Kasshish, Kitu also has shows like Air Hostess and Junoon to her credit. And now she's back on TV with a primetime big ticket show, Kulvaddhu on Sony.

Produced by Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions, the big ticket show is being slotted in the 8.30 pm band. This army officer's daughter has won many beauty pageants before she thought of taking up acting as a career seriously. And lady luck came her way when the channel bigwigs spotted her in a Sony show and decided to cast her as the lead in Kulvaddhu. Kavita Shyam caught up with the leading lady.
