BAG films goes international with Pakistani actors

After bringing about a variety of shows on television BAG films is all set to start shooting for a new show titled<em> Yeh Vaada Raha</em> for the overseas viewers. The love story will be aired from early next year on ARY DIGITAL channel, Dubai. Yeh Vaada will be revolving around two lovers Sadia (an NGO activist) played by Pakistani actor Maria Vasti and Salman (son of a leading politician) played by Raj Verma who are torn apart by hatred. Also the hatred shared by their fathers has kept the two families separate for many years.

Chahat quits Kumkum as well as TV!

The pretty Chahat Khanna who currently plays Ashka on Star Plus' <em>Kumkum </em>has decided to bid adieu to the show and television too! Reason being her upcoming marriage! The actor who has shows like<em> Kitty Party, Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Hello Dollie, Hero</em> and<em> Don</em> to boast about, is looking forward to her D day. She is planning to have a Sindhi style wedding as her beau is a Sindhi (an educator by profession).

Hussain out; Kumkum at crossroads

"The decision is not in my favour, so I am definitely feeling bad about it!" says a disturbed Hussain who is very upset about the decision taken by<em> Kumkum's</em> production house to end his character to further the storyline. According to BAG films the story of this four year old family drama now demands an infusion of fresh air. The current track currently shows Sumit suffering from brain tumour (deja vu! even Jatin played by Anuj Saxena was brooking from the same disease!).

Hussain -Tina get hitched, again!

Tina Darira's dream of getting married in a Catholic style came true last evening! She surprised dearest hubby Hussain by bringing in a surprise wedding party with family and friends. The actor was under an impression that it was their friends party, but was literally shocked when he saw his wife Tina in a wedding gown! Kumkum cast to join Bhabhi for funfest!

Star Plus viewers are in for a new treat! The cast of the lunchtime topping shows <em>Kumkum </em>and <em>Bhabhi </em>are coming together once again to showcase a special event! However this time it is the<em> Kumkum</em> cast which has been invited on the sets of<em> Bhabhi </em>to be a part of their celebration! The episode will air on 17 August. Alpa, who plays Suhana's (Rucha Gujrathi) sister on the show<em>(Bhabhi)</em> is scheduled to get married to Shubham, Tilak's (Manish Goyal) illegitimate child in the special episode. The<em> Kumkum</em> cast has been invited for the wedding.

Kumkum readies for new home, new look

With a new generation ready to move into <em>Kumkum's</em> quarters, the BAG Films unit is working round the clock to ensure that their new home is ready for shooting. The <em>Kumkum</em> set in suburban Mumbai, spread over an entire floor of a studio building, has been subjected to structural changes since 20 March, to make way for a household that will depict <em>Kumkum's</em> house 20 years later. "The decor, the colours, the look...everything is undergoing a sea change," says BAG Films creative head Rajesh Chadha.

Kumkum Gen Next revealed!

<em>Kumkum</em> is all set to unveil its new set of characters come April. Vivan Bathena (<em>Mr India 200, Kyunki Sas bhi kabhi bahu thi</em>) will play the grown up Dhruv while Gaurav Khanna of <em>Bhabhi</em> and <em>Siddhanth</em> fame, and Chahat Khanna (<em>Don, Shakalaka Boom boom, Kitty Party</em>) will play twins. Shilpa Anand, who is a familiar face in South Indian films ( waiting for her debut hindi film release, <em>Ikraar</em>) and Sayantani who has done a number of Bengali films have been selected to play the female lead opposite Vivan Bathena and Gaurav Khanna.
