Quashing all rumours of a rift with Kareena Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor has joined hands with the Heroine actress in an unexpected way. The trailer of Kareena’s eagerly-awaited film Heroine is being attached to Ekta Kapoor’s Kya Super Kool Hain Hum. A rather incongruous mix of the dramatic and the comic, one would think.
While outwardly this may seem like two soul sisters bonding to build a bridge between them, there’s a more practical reason why the trailer of a film so different in mood and intent is being attached to a film that blatantly seems to celebrate ribaldry.
The censorboard has cleared Ekta Kapoor’s new sex comedy with an ‘A’ certificate with 8-9 cuts.
Wonder how our Shatrughan Sinha would react to this. But the dog in Kya Super Kool Hain Hum has been rechristened Shatru instead of Fakhru, at the censorboard’s behest. It may seem super-cool to the makers of Kya Super Kool Hain Hum (KSKHH) to name the canine in the film Fakhruddin or Fakhru , which happens to be the name of the former president of India.
The censors disagree.
Riteish Deshmukh, the ‘sequel’ man is back again at his best, and he along with Tusshar Kapoor returns to tickle the funny bones of viewers with Kya Super Kool Hain Hum, produced by Balaji Telefilms. The movie is slated for release on 27 July 2012.
