Mahie Gill
Some time ago, we had reported that Venus Records and Tapes has bought the remaking rights of Anik Dutta’s hit Bengali film Bhooter Bhobhishyot that was about spirits who inhabit an old Kolkata mansion under threat from land sharks.
The latest is that Ratan Jain has signed Anupam Kher, Sharman Joshi, Mahie Gill, Saurabh Shukla and Parambrata Chatterjee for the film.
While Parambrata will reprise the role he played in the original, Kher will play the owner of the mansion while Mahie will play the actress in the Hindi version.

Starring Irrfan Khan, Mahie Gill, Jimmy Shergill, Soha Ali Khan, Raj Babbar
Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia
Rating: ****
In what could be regarded as a sequence of subliminal comic relief, a little-known actor Rajeev Gupta gives this film, suffused in powerhouse performances, its best performance as a slimy politician caught watching porn on his laptop in his office by a goon masquerading as a journalist.

During the past few months Mahie Gill has been drinking herself silly. And the blame goes to Tigmanshu Dhulia who has turned her character from the first Sahib Bibi Aur Gangster into a full-blown alcoholic in the sequel Sahib Bibi Aur Gangster Returns.
Says a core member of the film’s crew, “When Tigmanshu made Sahib Bibi Aur Gangster he consciously avoided making Mahie a replica of Meena Kumari in the original film Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam. But in the sequel he has modelled Mahie entirely on Meena Kumari. And that includes the character’s alcoholism.”

The new-age Zanjeer just got a lot sexier. Mahie Gill who plays the new-age vamp Mona Darling, done to seductive heights by Bindu in the 1973 version of Zanjeer, flew to Bangkok to shoot some of the funniest sex scenes of her life.
Apparently Mahie plays an extremely libidinous Mona who has the constant hots for the villain Teja played by Prakash Raj. But somehow, we hear, Mona doesn’t…err get it.
