Come 9 January and Zee TV will start its new show <em>Mamta</em>. The show, produced by Shobhana Desai, highlights the turmoils of surrogate motherhood. Neha Mehta as Mamta The story of <em>Mamta</em> takes off when a young surrogate mother is told that her child is still born and she later comes to know that her baby is actually alive and is at the mercy of scrupulous intentions.

sai Deodhar, the fiery Flight Lt from <em>Saara Aakaash</em> has a plum role in her kitty now . She is playing an inspector in CID and has changed her look this time. She is sporting a short hair do, no accessories and minimal make-up look this time.

Sai Deodhar, better known as Flight Lt Monika in Star Plus'<em>Saara Akash</em>, has decided not to do the forthcoming Zee show, <em>Mamta</em> due to date problems. "Initially the show was supposed to be aired three days a week, later they told me that it would be a daily...that is shooting for, like, 30 days a month. A bit too much for me. You know, that is too stressful for anybody!" exclaims Sai, who is going through a number of scripts and says that there are a few projects that are in the pipeline.

Come this August, Flight lieutenant Monika in Star Plus' long running show, <em>Saara Akash</em>, will play Mamta in Shobhna Desai's new show on Zee, <em>Mamta</em>. Sai Deodhar, who played a flight Lt in <em>Saara Akash</em>, will be seen in a new avtar on Zee. She has played a determined journalist in Star One's <em>Siddhanth</em>, and now she is all set to show her stuff in Mamta. Sai, who has also signed Contiloe's <em>Le Jayenge Le Jayenge</em>, a romantic comedy, is known for her agressive no nonsense roles. Mamta, is an effort to reinvent herself as a viillage belle.
