Rubbishing reports that the new Salman Khan film Mental is releasing on 22 November Sohail Khan says, “That I am releasing the film on November 22 is news to me also. Now people are deciding for me when I’ll release my film without my knowledge.” Laughing off the rumours Sohail says he’s aiming for a year-end release for <em>Mental</em>. “The way the shooting is going I might make it by the end of the year, Inshallah. But I haven’t locked in on a date yet.”

If a report on Monday is to be believed the shooting of Sohail Khan’s Mental in Lavasa in Pune was disrupted over a scuffle that broke out between stunt-men from South India and Mumbai. However sources from the location say that no such incident happened and that in fact no fights on or off screen occurred at all over the weekend.

Salman Khan’s latest heroine Daisy Shah shot some dramatic scenes with the superstar in Dubai for his home production <em>Mental</em>. And now the unit will move to Mumbai, Kolhapur, Lhasa and Goa for the rest of the shooting. Ashmit Patel and Yash Tonk play the other important roles as Salman’s friends in <em>Mental</em>.

Sohail Khan’s Salman Khan and Daisy-starrer Mental is all set to take off on 27 February in Dubai. Besides, the film will also mark the debut of Sabarresh, son of action director Vijayan, who himself has been assigned to play the villain in the film. Besides, two times National Award winner Tabu, who was last seen playing a mother to the main protagonist Suraj Sharma in the Oscar nominated <em>Life of Pi</em>, is to play the elder sister of Salman Khan. Interestingly, Tabu and Salman had earlier worked in films like <em>Biwi No. 1, Hum Saath Saath Hain</em> and <em>Jeet</em>.

The curiosity over who will play Salman Khan’s romantic interest in his brother Sohail Khan’s film gets hotter by the day. We now have news coming in that the project has been pushed to March 2013 to enable Sohail a wider elbowroom to select the female lead in his film. Even as rumours of model-Bigg Boss contestant Karishma Kotak being in the film died down comes the news that Daisy Shah, a professional dancer, is being considered. And now we hear Priyanka Chopra too is being considered for the same part.

Edging out top contender Diana Penty, model turned actress Karishma Kotak has lapped up the role of the female lead opposite Salman Khan in Sohail Khan’s upcoming film <em>Mental</em>, earlier titled <em>Radhe</em>. It is said that Salman Khan played a key role in selecting Karishma for the lead role. Said a source, “Salman has had a good equation with Kotak ever since he shot a TV commercial with her last year. In fact, the star also advocated for her inclusion in <em>Bigg Boss 6</em>. He believes that the model can give a strong performance.”
