Roop and Sunali Rathod win Mission Ustaad

After 13 weeks of music and entertainment at <em> Mission Ustaad,</em> the viewers and jury crowned Roop Kumar & Sunali Rathod with the title of<em> 'Ustaad Jodi'.</em> The winning jodi took home a cash prize of Rs.20 lakh. “It was a wonderful experience to be the part of the show and our hard work has been appreciated by the judges as well as audiences. We are very happy to win the contest, says Sunali.

Mission Ustaad to sing a social tune

The show is titled <em> Mission Ustaad</em> but its primary mission isn't to unearth the next singing sensation(s) but to create social awareness. Back in 2000, the Indian government had pledged to eradicate poverty, illiteracy, child mortality by the year 2015. The United Nations had bracketed such problems under the 8 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Seven years have passed and the nation hasn't even reached halfway in realising these goals.

9X gets real with Mission Ustaad

After announcing fiction shows, soon to launch entertainment channel 9X finally brings out its trump card. It is coming up with its first reality show called <em> Mission Ustaad</em>, produced by Endemol India. <em> Mission Ustaad</em> is a music based reality done in association with the United Nations (UN). It will involve eminent personalities, artistes, musicians and singers coming together to promote the UN's eight Millennium Development Goals, one of which is to end poverty in India and worldwide.
