The ghost of Mona Singh’s Sita-act in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena simply refuses to die down. A year later, Singh still finds herself being served with summons. This time it was served to her when she was at a product promotion event in Chandigarh on Wednesday. An irked Mona left the city the same evening.

After finalising the three judges Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Saroj Khan it’s now time to freeze on the hosts of <em>Jhalak dikhla ja</em>. Contrary to common assumption that Prachi Desai may host the third season of the show, Mona Singh and Rohit Roy, hosts of previous seasons are tipped to host the new season too. But this comes with a rider. If things do not work out with Mona and Rohit, the second option would be Shiv Pandit with Sushma Reddy or Shiv Pandit with Shweta Tiwari. Shiv Pandit is currently acting in <em>FIR</em> on Sab TV.

Finally, viewers will get to see Mona Singh act again on the small screen. Post <em> Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin</em> Mona had limited her appearance on television to reality shows. Mona will now be playing a pivotal role in NDTV Imagine’s <em>Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi </em>.

Cricket and entertainment make for a deadly combination. Tapping this mix is Colors which is coming up with a unique reality show<em> Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina </em>. News has it that Mona Singh and Shama Sikander are part of the show. A source says, “Shama and Mona are among the six <em>hasinas</em>, who’ll be part of the show. There are all together six<em> jodis</em>. The show is expected to air on September 15.” When contacted, Shama Sikander said, “I’m under contract and will not be able to comment anything on this.” Mona Singh was unavailable for comment.

Actor-singer Karan Oberoi and Mona Singh’s boyfriend is all set to produce his first serial for Zee Telefilms Ltd. The actor claims that his serial is not going to be a regular <em> saas-bahu </em> drama. Karan says, “I don’t do regular things. This is not going to be a regular serial.” He adds, “If you see my music videos and the serials I have acted in, they are not the regular ones. If it is regular I would not want to be associated with that. This is a serial with a definite end. It’s too early to divulge any details.”

Titled<em> Khamoshi </em> the serial is slated to feature on Sony in the next few months. Prouced by Ashwin Verma of Klassic Studios, the show is a story that promises to be different from the usual family dramas. Informs a source from the show, "We have roped in Mona Singh and the male lead has not been finalized at the moment. We are pitching the show for a primetime slot on Sony."

<em>Indian Idol</em>'s off screen antics get even more frantic on Tuesday as Jassi, aka Mona Singh visits the sets for a chat with Antara Mitra and Meenal Jain. "I was shocked looking at all the girls being voted out of the show... I personally wanted a female <em>Indian Idol</em> this year! But looking at the voting pattern... I wonder what the viewers are voting for... and hence I had this strong urge to meet with the two girls," is what Mona had to say about her visit, "Not that the boys are bad!" she giggled as an afterthought.
