Neil Nitin Mukesh who is now readying himself for his upcoming flick 3G feels that the movie is an out and out commercial project. Talking about the eye-catchy sequence in the movie, Neil told us, “We have a girl (Sonal Chauhan) coming out of the sea in a bikini. Is this not enough for ‘<em>masala</em>’?”

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has served as an assistant director to Aditya Chopra for five years having worked in <em>Mujhse Dosti Karoge</em> among others in the beginning of his film career, has evinced interest to get behind the camera and helm a film. "I was an assistant director for five years of my life and would definitely like to get into direction for sure. It will certainly happen someday," Neil exclaimed when pushed to answer a query if he was indeed mulling with the idea of turning to direction.

In most of his films starting from Adlabs’ Johny Gaddar, Neil Nitin Mukesh has been seen as a gangster. But, to bring in a change, the actor will be seen essaying the role of an IPS officer attached to the crime branch in Rash Production Pvt. Singer Lucky Ali, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and director Bijoy Nambiar have been under the scanner of certain sensitive communities ever since the song Ya Hussain was aired. The minority community has urged Bejoy to remove the song as they feel it doesn’t befit their definitions of propriety. The latest is that in Bejoy Nambiar’s upcoming yet untitled film, the director has recreated the black and white era in certain parts of the storyline that is a gangster film. The chat show host, currently in Mumbai, is confident of bagging a role in an upcoming romantic comedy starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and directed by debutant Prerna Wadhawan. "I'm not a stranger to camera, so I'm very confident and as of now, my chances are 50/50," she said in a statement. Eros International and Next Gen Film’s psychological thriller 3-G, directed by Bejoy Nambiar starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan, is a psychological-horror film that deals with the sixth sense. With this film, Neil has tried his hand in a different genre. “It's easier to get into a comfort zone and do the same predictable scripts. It’s a challenge to crack something different, 3G offers that,” Neil observed. The film recently had a 50-day schedule in the picturesque Fiji Islands. The long gap, away from Bollywood, gave the cast and crew of the film ample time to bond.
