Noted playback singer Suresh Wadkar will be honoured with the prestigious P Savalaram award for his contribution to music in a function to be held on 23 December (2012). The award would be given to him under the aegis of the Thane Municipal Corporation. The award, carrying a citation and Rs 25,000 in cash, will be given to Wadkar, who has enthralled music lovers with innumerable songs in many languages.
