It's been two and a half years since Rajan Shahi launched an 'ordinary' face in Bidaai. Parul Chauhan, by all standards, was a girl-next-door with unconventional looks. However, success came calling and today, Parul is one of the most sought-after names in the Indian television industry and her character Ragini, one of the most popular television roles. She is now all set to make her foray into Bollywood and has apparently signed a film as well. Parul spoke to TellyChakkar on <em>Bidaai</em>, her success story and her entry into Bollywood.

Bidaai – one of the most popular serials on television today – has a very interesting gang of four comprising of Sara, Angad, Kinshuk and last but definitely not the least – Parul. Out of them, Parul definitely stands out for more reasons than one. She has the most unusual beauty, is extremely natural in front of the camera and is a very good interviewee, thanks to her humility coupled with the right attitude. Parul Chauhan aka Ragini from Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai is a happy girl these days. She couldn't ask for a better serial to launch her career on television. Parul came from Lucknow to Mumbai in 2005 leaving her engineering course half way. She was motivated by her brother's friend to try her hand at modelling and her first attempt in the world of acting got her the serial Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai and rest is all history.
