Before the news of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, Rohit Shetty had originally planned for Singham Again to be released on Independence Day 2024, which would have meant a box-office clash between the two movies.

Deverakonda discussed his Family Star character in a recent interview, drawing parallels with the role he played in Arjun Reddy, which helped him become well-known. Vijay Deverakonda has earlier worked with Parasuram in his hit film Geetha Govindam, in which he was paired opposite Rashmika Mandanna.
