It’s IPL time, and the ‘Cricket fever’ has already set in!! However, broadcasters plan to counter-attack with new shows and new concepts!! All will begin with Star Plus planning its next fiction launch in Village Boy Productions' upcoming show, <em>Hum Saath Saath Hain</em>. The show which will have the backdrop of Kanpur has Bollywood face Tanushree Dutta's sister <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/tanushree-duttas-sister-ishita-dutta-play-lead-raakesh-paswans-next-star-plus-narendra-jha-and>Ishita Dutta</a> as the lead.

Tellychakkar.com was the first to report that Rahul Sharma and Sachin Chhabra have been cast as leads in Raakesh Paswan’s (Village Boy Productions) next show on Star Plus, tentatively titled ‘<em>Hum Saath Saath Hai</em>’.

Raakesh Paswan, who as a writer developed shows like Hamari Devrani, Bhagyavidhaata and then went on to produce <em>Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo </em> and <em>Afsar Bitiya</em> under the banner of Village Boy Productions will soon be back with a family drama on Star Plus. A certain section of the media has already reported that the family drama is tentatively titled <em>Hum Saath Saath Hai</em>.

Village Boy Productions’ Afsar Bitiya, on Zee TV, aired its last episode on 28 December (2012). A new show Housewife will take its place from 31 December. Afsar Bitiya, however ended on a happy note. To get the feel, we spoke to the producer and actors. Said Producer Raakesh Paswan, “We are very happy with the way the show turned up. I got several positive feedbacks from viewers and fans. At the end our TRP ended at 1.9. Had the TRPs come in early, the show would have sustained. I am happy that the show could connect well with the audiences.”

But over the time things have changed and it seems that Shivshakti has decided to bury the hatchet.
