Always wanting to turn a producer, Rockstar fame Imtiaz Ali will soon realise his dream with Highway that he will co-produce along with Sajid Nadiadwala. The film, a love story about two very different people who get attracted to each other, stars Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda in the lead. It is said that <em>Highway</em> has been conceived by Saif Ali Khan’s <em>Cocktail</em> writer. Sajid loved the fact that Imtiaz showed the inclination to produce the film. He immediately gave his nod. Imtiaz is excited about the fact that he will be a hands-on producer for the first time.

After their debut pairing in YRF’s <em>Bachana Ae Haseeno</em> in 2008, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are making a comeback with Karan Johar's <em>Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani.</em> The latest is that even Imtiaz Ali wants same pair in his next project. In fact, Imtiaz Ali has already signed Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead and has also approached Deepika Padukone to play female lead in it. In fact, Imtiaz Ali has worked with Ranbir in <em>Rockstar</em> and Deepika in <em>Love Aaj Kal</em>.

So far it’s been hearsay only. News of Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali getting together for an encore to Rockstar has been doing the rounds for some time now. We now have a confirmation from someone very closely associated with the project that Ranbir and Imtiaz are indeed coming together for a film that Sajid Nadiadwala would produce. And they’ve convinced A R Rahman to join them, although he’s seriously pressed for time.
