Gurpreet's fan following escalating

After making a splash in <em> Kahin To Hoga,</em> good-looking lad Gurpreet is getting even more attention now. Gurpreet's entry in <em> Saarthi</em> as Rudr has seen his fan following growing immensely, though his <em> Durgesh Nandani </em> act is not much talked about. He is essaying the character of Sikander in Durgesh. "By the grace of God I have got a lot going for me and I'm content with the way things are shaping up. I'll try and give my 100 per cent and do justice to the show," says Gurpreet. The fans are storming the sets every day to get a glimpse of this striking actor.

Pregnant pause for Mansi Salvi

There's plenty of good news for Mansi Salvi and her family. The actress who rose to fame as the <em> Sati</em> of Sahara One has taken a pregnant pause in her life to go the family way. Mansi is five months pregnant and her hubby are all set to welcome their bundle of joy as a new member in their family. "This is gonna be my first child so I'm nervous and happy. My hubby is also very excited and takes good care of me. He makes sure that I have my food on time and take proper rest," utters Mansi.

Manav Gohil joins Saarthi

The star-cast list of Star Plus' afternoon show <em> Saarthi</em> is, these days, showing quite a few cancellations and additions. We mean, first it was the exit of lead actor Karan Grover (Arjun in the show), followed by entry of Dimple Inamdar (the villainous lawyer, Natasha) and now its actor Manav Gohil who has been roped in.

Saarthi's gaining ground!

After Karan Grover's exit, Star's afternoon raker <em> Saarthi </em> is finally getting its act together. With the current dramatic twist in the story, viewers are now getting to watch a new avatar of Bhoomi aka Zalak Thakkar. A modern day <em> Bharatiya naari</em> who goes against her family and tries to avenge her husband's (Arjun) death.She's now standing strong and still fighting for the injustice done to her. .

Karan chooses Meri Aawaz over Saarthi!

Dick Olson once remarked that he had learned not to judge people by the way they looked or what they were doing. Television taught us the same; there is a plethora of successful actors with management, finance, fashion, engineering degrees to back up their careers. It beats us at times to find actors rich in cerebral content parading their faces before the camera in warped soaps: and being happy about it! Karan Grover is another addition to our list of "what are you doing here?"

Parthiv Patel visits Saarthi set

It was a normal day of shoot for the unit of Neela Telefilm's <em>Saarthi</em> until they saw Parthiv Patel among the onlookers applauding the shots. The young wicket-keeper kept saying he loves the serial and watches it whenever possible. Since he was in town for a short visit he decided to meet the crew of his favorite serial. Producer Asit Modi tells us, "Parthiv gave us a pleasant surprise dropping down at the set. He kept appreciating the actors for their work. We all wish him good luck with his bright career."

Singing a different tune!

It's not often that the creative director of a show has occasion to write, compose and lend his voice for a specially song on his show. But that's exactly what Neela Telefilms' creative director Nirav Vaidya has done in today's episode of <em>Saarthi</em> on Star Plus. The Holi special episode includes a song picturised on Arjun and Bhumika, the two leads of the show, who slip away from the Holi festivities for an intimate encounter in a shed.
