<em>Babli badmash hai</em>, sings Priyanka Chopra in one of the 3 utterly wasted item numbers in this film about blazing guns, flaring nostrils, sanguinary revenge and bleak atonement. Babli is not the only one who’s a <em>badmaash</em> here. The characters are all hardened players of the underworld from the 1970s.They all mean business in the business of being mean.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta is very disturbed with Sanjay Dutt’s imminent incarceration. Though the two friends and business partners had a noisy fall-out some years ago, they patched up their differences at the Big B Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th birthday party in October 2012.
The honourable Supreme Court’s judgement on 23 March (2013) left Gupta devastated, and in no mood for celebrations.

Sanjay Gupta can now breathe a sigh of relief. The Censorboard Of Film Certification (CBFC ) has passed <em>Shootout At Wadala</em> (SAW) with an ‘Adults’ certificate, with no visual cuts. However some of dialogues spoken by John Abraham, Manoj Bajpai and Tusshar Kapoor have been asked to be cleaned up.
Says a source, “Though Gupta managed to convince the members of the censor board to not tamper with the visuals including the substantial violence, when it came to some of the dialogues the censor board was unrelenting and insisted that the words be changed.”

Following the massive launch of Priyanka Chopra's dance track Babli Badmaash and the announcement about the sensational Sunny Leone playing a walk-on part in a song sequence ('<em>Laila</em>') there were reports to suggest that Kangana Ranaut was miffed at being kept out of the film's publicity.

Bollywood circles were stumped when they saw and heard Sonu Sood 'introducing' himself as Dawood Ibrahim, while seeing the rushes of Sanjay Gupta's <em>Shootout At Wadala</em>. In the past, though we had many characters modeled on ‘D’, none were named after him.

Till now many of our stars have gone shirtless, the most famous being Salman Khan who was some time ago, was lovingly called ‘the shirtless hero’ who loved taking off his shirt at the drop of a hat.
But, now we will see a don going shirtless. Yes, it will be John Abraham who will go shirtless while essaying the role of mafia don Manya Surve in Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming film <em>Shootout at Wadala</em>.
Said an excited Sanjay, "This is will be the first shirtless don. You will not get to see anyone else like this in Bollywood. No one will be able to compete with him (John)."
