Well, there’s big news for all the loyal viewers of <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/cid-oldest-show-going-strongest-too>CID</a>. The longest running fiction show on Sony is according to the grapevine being made into a film.
Fireworks, the producer of <em>CID</em> have grand plans of turning the successful and immensely popular series into a 70 mm dream with the same star cast.
Says a source, “We have been toying with this idea for a long time now, and everything is undergoing a process, as the show is very popular among the masses, and we are working out the other details.”

Even in the on-going series of the show, <em>Aakhri Chunauti</em>, the team is on the back of an international don who has already kidnapped four to five officers from the investigative team.

It seems last week's drama did not affect the voting pattern of <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/entertainment-3-replace-indian-idol-5>Indian Idol 5</a> this week too. Last week judges blamed public for voting out <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/shocking-elimination-indian-idol-judges-save-day>Rakesh Maini</a> but saved him by using their veto power. This week they again voted out yet another good singer Shivam Pathak from Uttar Pradesh.

Sony’s longest-running show <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/cid-aahat-writer-turns-director>CID</a> now turns bi-weekly. The show will also introduce some new characters in the mystery-cracking team this month.
<a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/cid-team-mistook-real-one>Shivaji Satam</a> confirms this news, “Yes the show will turn bi-weekly. New lead characters will enter the show. Hrishikesh Pandey will essay the role of a <em>CID</em> cop along with Jasveer Kaur. Manini Mishra plays the role of a forensic expert.”

Ten years, 465 episodes. That's Sony's top ranking show <em>CID</em> for you. To celebrate that achievement Fireworks Productions' Pradeep Upoor and BP Singh threw a bash for select industry colleagues who have had something to do with the show at Echoes in Juhu, north Mumbai last night.
