After the incident took place on Sunday, the Mumbai Police arrested two men, Sagar Pal (21) and Vicky Gupta(24), from Gujarat's Kutch. The two accused have been sent to custody till April 25. Meanwhile, the crime branch officials primarily released a statement elaborating the intention behind the open fire.

According to an official, the suspect was in close contact with one of the two arrested suspects before and after the incident. He added the arrested man was suspected of receiving orders from Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who was imprisoned.
