After which talks were also on with <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/will-jay-and-ayushmaan-host-jhalak>Ayushmaan Khurana</a>, Jay Bhanushali, Rohit Roy and the Mohan sisters, Shakti and Mukti, now we hear that the channel is keen on getting Shreyas Talpade or Abhijeet Sawant on board.

Fondly recalled as <em>Iqbal</em>, he tickled many a funny bones with his recent flick, <em>Apna Sapna Money Money</em> and now Shreyas Talpade takes his turn to pay respect to the genre of comedy….but this time on television! This Marathi mulga is geared up to don a new role, that of a host for Star Gold's Comedy Honors, an initiative by the channel to pay tribute to Indian comic excellence, all through the month of April. Sharing screen space with him is Purbi Joshi of Star One's Comedy Show <em>Ha Ha</em> fame.

Shreyas Talpade may not have been seen on the big screen after <em>Iqbal</em>, but the dimunitive actor's fans can catch him on Zee Smile's <em>Home Sweet Home</em> on the occasion of April Fool's Day. Shreyas will make a guest appearance on this show for the April Fool's Day Special episode to be aired on 3 April 2006. The episode revolves around Kiku chacha (played by Kiku) who makes a fool of the kids by boasting about his old friendship with filmstar Shreyas Talpade to his nieces Pooja, Aarti and Karishma but in reality Kiku doesn't even have a faint acquaintance with Shreyas.
