Javed Akhtar patronises Star Plus' new show

Looks like our TV serials are now inspiring the likes of Javed Akhtar. The National award-winning, acclaimed lyricist took time off to launch the Star Plus show <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/rajan-shahis-show-compete-balika-and-jhansi>Chaand Chupa Baadal Mein</a></em> (starting on Star Plus on June 28) for which he has also lent his voice to its on-air promotion. He said he wanted to associate himself with the show because of its ‘<em>Hindustaniyyat</em>’. The serial set in Simla is steeped in Indian values and the cultural traditions of India.

Siddharth Goel wins Chhote Miyan 2

The fun and play is over and it’s time to declare the results. Four little kids competed in the finals but in the end it is Siddharth Goel who has come out with flying colours in <em>Chhote Miyan Chapter 2</em>. The 13-year-old from Kanpur has won the second season of this stand-up comedy show for children.

The going gets tough for Siddharth

The new twist in <em> Babul Ka Aangan </em>… is going to be one which will have the lead actor Siddharth Shukla showing a different aspect of his talent. Siddharth will now be required to do a lot of stunts.

I gave up because my character was not going anywhere - Sandeep Rajora

Replacement is the buzz on Indian television. After a spate of recent replacements, the latest to hit the television industry is Sandeep Rajora being replaced in Star One's <em>Hey…Yehi To Hai Woh</em>. "The track of the serial was not going anywhere. From comedy, the track suddenly changed into a thriller. It became absolutely chaotic," Sandeep says. "It was very repetitive. What I did in episode 5, I was doing the same in episode 95. All I did was cheating Raj," he adds.
