The story of the movie is based on the novel – India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes. The book is written by Shiv Aroor and while the book was received well by the audience, it seems like the movie is also going to score well at the box office.

Directed by Siva and produced by UV creations along with Suriya's in house stable, Studio Green, Kanguva stars the producers himself alongside Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, K. S. Ravikumar, and Yogi Babu.

Devara is a Koratala Siva directorial and features Jr NTR along with Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. It is a south cinema debut for Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The movie released on 27th September.
