Battling three other films to become the first hit of the centenary year of Hindi cinema, director Aditya Datt’s the psychological thriller <em>Table No. 21</em> has left its competitors far behind in the race to be the first hit of 2013.

Starring <strong>Paresh Rawal, Rajeev Khandelwal, Tena Desae</strong> Directed by <strong>Aditya Dutta</strong> Rating: <strong>***</strong> The last 30 minutes of this gripping thriller has a life of its own. In fact the end-game is so stunning and so overpowering in its message that it makes us overlook the ingrained improbability of the rest of the film.

After dragging God to court in the flick Oh My God, veteran actor Paresh Rawal is all set to don the role of a dangerous game show host in Table No 21 (directed by Aditya Datt). His bald character challenges honeymoon couple Rajeev Khandelwal and Tena Desae to a game of Rs 21 crores but with one twist, you lie and you die. Adds Rawal, “This story does not have your conventional negative or positive guys formulation, for with passing frame, you don’t know who is really negative, positive or grayish.”

Tena Desae is one actress who is currently the talk of Bollywood because of her sensuous bikini and the lip-lock scenes from her upcoming film <em>Table No 21 </em> that also stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Paresh Rawal. Incidentally, the actress had debuted opposite Anupam Kher in the long forgotten film <em>Yeh Faasle </em> that sank without a trace at the box office. Then, she went on to grab a very noticing role in an international film <em> The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel</em> in which she played a Call Center girl and was appreciated.

It was an eventful evening as Paresh Rawal, Rajeev Khandelwal and Tena Desae unveiled the trailer of their upcoming film, ‘Table No.21’. The film is presented by Eros International in association with Next Gen Films. All the three actors enthusiastically launched the trailer of the high concept thriller. Directed by Aditya Dutt and produced by Viki Rajani, <em>Table No. 21</em> introduces a new genre altogether.
