South Asian women, especially of Indian origin, taking centre-stage in global titles like Bridgerton and One Day was long overdue, says Indian-American actor Avantika Vandanapu. She debuted in 2016 with the Telugu film, Mahesh Babu-starrer Brahmotsavam and was recently seen as Karen Shetty in the reboot of Mean Girls.

When word leaked out earlier this week that the actor had been brought to the hospital, his fans became worried. He supposedly had surgery to treat a bulging nerve, and he is now free to go. The health report on X was delivered by trade expert Ramesh Bala, “Actor #Ajithkumar has returned home from his recent hospital visit. All is well! (sic)”
