MUMBAI: While everyone seems to be raving about the lead performances in ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club’s latest offering Bebaakee, one has also related to the bond shared by actress Shivjyoti Rajput and her two sisters. While the talented actress has given fans and viewers a debut performance to remember, the bond that she, as Kainaat, and her sisters Falak (Saloni Vora) and Harleen (Aditi Vats) share with each other has certainly caught everyone’s attention. Just like their on-screen characters, the trio are fun-loving in real life too and never miss a chance to pull up a prank on anyone whenever there is an opportunity.

And it’s not just their scenes done together where the girls have a blast. They seem to be having a gala time post the shoot as well. Right from the time since viewers got to know about its unique name, Bebaakee has been the talk of the town. With fans getting to know more about this gripping love story through the show’s teaser, trailer, songs, and posters, excitement ahead of the show’s release is at its peak.

All those weeks of waiting are finally done as ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club have finally launched the most-awaited romantic drama today. On the back of some stellar cinematography, soul-stirring music, and gripping storyline, Bebaakee is a show capturing the unbreakable bonds of love, friendship, brotherhood, and even hate. Through the characters and the family, we discover that the strongest bonds can be the most fragile, and the people closest to you can cause you the most damage.

Bebaakee is the story of Sufiyaan Abdullah and Kainaat Sahani, two diametrically different yet equally strong and stubborn personalities. Set in the picturesque locales of Shimla, it revolves around the life of these two contrasting characters, played by Kushal Tandon and Shivjyoti Rajput, with strong personalities who bond over their mutual love for journalism.

Despite destiny bringing the two together in this tale of love, they are unable to understand whether their passion is accompanied by love or hate. While things seem to be pretty plain sailing for the two, life takes an unexpected turn once Sufiyaan’s friend Imtiaz (Karan Jotwani) enters their life-changing relationship dynamic between the three for the worse. In addition to this terrific trio, the series also has an ensemble cast of Pratik Sehajpal, Ishaan Dhawan, Mahir Pandhi, Saloni Vora, Aditi Vats, and Juhaina Ahsan as well as senior actors like Krutika Desai, Suchitra Pillai, Ananya Khare, Mohit Chauhan, Sameer Malhotra, and Indraneel Bhattacharya.

With romance in abundance on the show, Bebaakee also showcases soul-stirring songs that are sung and composed by some of the renowned musicians in the industry. The popular song ‘Galliyaan’, sung melodiously by Akhil Sachdeva and Asees Kaur, is already touching the hearts of the audiences with its perfect balance of emotions. The other released track ‘Intehaan’ crooned by Gaurav Guleria and the lovely soundtrack Rabba Khair Kari, sung by famous playback singer Richa Sharma and Digvijay Singh Pariyar will make you wish the best for your beloved

Speaking about the show’s launch, Kushal Tandon said, “I have always thanked Ekta Ma’am for believing in me and pushing me to do my very best. I remember agreeing to play Sufiyaan’s character just over the call the two of us had as she pitched me the role. With me and Sufiyaan sharing a lot of similarities, it was extremely easy to get into the skin of the character and play it to perfection. The viewer’s reaction to the show and my character has been amazing. It’s finally time to give them what they’ve been waiting for, for a very long time. I hope that they love what we’ve made for them.”

Talking about the show, Shiv Jyoti Rajput commented, “Looking at the exponential growth of the Indian OTT space over the last few years, I grabbed the opportunity to mark my debut with the two leading homegrown OTT heavyweights. Besides the market share & viewership of these two OTT platforms, the storyline of the show & the narrative of my character got me deeply interested and made up for my perfect debut in the digital ecosystem. The role that I essayed enabled me to explore the art & craft of emoting, acting & dramatization. MUMBAI : Love him or hate him but you cannot ignore him. This was the case with the most controversial character - Kabir Singh! While he was criticized for being the face of toxic masculinity and self-destruction, there was no denying that he also melted plenty hearts with his portrayal of pain and passion which some could relate to.

Once in a while Bollywood movies give us immemorable characters, reasons might vary and just when we thought there is only one Kabir Singh - ALTBalaji and ZEE5 dropped the trailer of its upcoming show Bebaakee! Far from the mainstream romantic tale, the series revolves around the lives of Sufiyaan and Imtiyaz, two best friends, who are like blood brothers, who end up falling in love with the same girl, Kainaat. The trailer gives us a glimpse of Sufiyaan’s character played by Kushal Tandon who is rightfully claiming the title of the brooding angry young man. Though the story looks like a love triangle, what caught our eyes is this intense character, Sufiyaan who brings back the memories of Kabir Singh, but thankfully we see the passion, intensity of love, possessiveness, obsession but not the toxic misogyny this time. Audience will get to see more of Sufiyaan soon as the web-series is all set to be launched on August 30.

Kushal Tandon is making a comeback alongside the beautiful and promising debutant Shiv Jyoti Rajput and the very talented Karan Jotwani in the lead role.
