Star One’s Veer Vardhan Singh aka Siddharth Shukla has been quite a hit with the girls not just for his acting skills but also for his good looks and a chiselled body. In a chat with TellyChakkar this young actor shared his preferences in food and his fitness mantra.
Personal fitness mantra: Get up early, hit the gym and eat good food.
Diet mantra: My diet consists of lots of proteins, green vegetables and low carbs.
Exercise routine: I hit the gym and I make sure I do each body part per day. I do the cardio twice.
Is food the elixir of life? Pretty much yes!
Are you a foodie? Not really. I sometimes binge on junk food.
Are you a vegetarian or non-vegetarian? I have just started eating chicken but before that I was a complete vegetarian.
Favourite cuisine: Indian
Favourite dish: I love Maa ke haath ka bana ghar ka khaana.
Favourite restaurant: I visit a lot of restaurants but when I am with friends I visit China Garden. I like that place.
A must on my breakfast table: Eggs
Sugar or sugar-free for my tea/coffee: With sugar.
Lunch generally consists of… Chicken, green veggies and chapattis
Dinner generally consists of… Chicken again.
Dessert delights… I am not fond of sweets. But I like Bengali sweets apart from gulab jamun, caramel custard and brownies.
One thing I can’t resist… Nothing as such since I am not a big foodie.
My favourite drink (non-alcoholic) Water
My favourite drink (alcoholic)… I don’t like to drink.
At parties I have… Starters
Most unusual dish I've tasted… Like I said I have started chicken off late but I had
tasted lobsters once.So for me that was the most unusual dish. But I thought it was alright in terms of taste.
Experiment with food… Not really. I stick to basics.
On the streets, I love to have… Everything right from pav bhaji to pani puri and sev puri.
Do you cook? I can’t cook much. But I make omelets.
Favourite recipe: Omelets
Ingredients:-
Tomatoes
Onions
Eggs
Chillies
Mushrooms
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Method: -
Cut onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and chillies and mix them well with the beaten eggs. Then add salt and pepper to taste. Add a little oil to a pan and pour the mixture on the pan.
Keep the gas on a medium flame and turn the mixture to the other side and let it simmer for some time.
Turn off the gas and your omelet is ready to eat!
