Aamir Khan makes the cast and crew of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai socially responsible

Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate made Star Plus’ very own serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) socially aware and emotionally alert. YRKKH is a show that has always been aware of social issues and conceptualized their stories keeping these issues in mind. For example, like Daddaji in the show has stated “beta ho ya beti, hume farak nahin padta.” This seemed to be a very casual statement until they watched Aamir Khan’s newly launched show. Its first episode brought in the forefront actual circumstances of female foeticide has managed to strike a chord with every team member of YRKKH. The entire crew has taken it upon themselves to do something about the issue and Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik (Karan Mehra) will be seen donating Rs 1 lakh to the Ngo Snehalay. One may think that this is just an act, however it is! It is an act of becoming socially responsible and helping the needy which enforces the change one needs to bring to uplift our society and make it a better place. Kudos to the entire cast and crew of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai! This will definitely be a lesson for many as Star Plus proves the charity truly begins at home.
