Amar Upadhyay returns to TV

Amar Upadhyay disappeared from TV after he bid adieu from his landmark show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. He refused to work on television as he sensed better prospects in Bhojpuri and Hindi films. He went on to produce Bhojpuri films but unfortunately he could not manage to get any recognition in the Hindi film industry. Now, he is making a U-turn to the small screen with Maa on Zee TV. Amar Upadhyay says, "I am playing the protagonist with whom the story begins but my character will be there only for sometime in the show. I don't want to comment more on it as of now." Talking of Amar's role Sham, the co- producer says, "Amar Upadhyay will be doing twenty five episodes for Maa and he is playing Chitraprabha's (lead actress) husband. The exile of his character is still being worked upon." Amar Upadhyay refused to confirm whether he is planning to make a full fledged come back on TV. All we want to say is 'Welcome back.'
