Birthdays are a family affair for Rupali Ganguly and Rohit Roy

Rupali Ganguly and Rohit Roy have many things in common. Firstly, they are Bengalis, both are TV actors, furthermore they were born on the same date, 5 April. But the list of similarities doesn’t end here, as these two celebrated their birthday yesterday with their families. Rupali, who plays the role of Pinky Ahuja in Parvarrish (DJ’s A Creative Unit) commemorated the occasion with her parents. The lovely actress tells Tellychakkar.com, “For me party is being with the family. Incidentally, it was my day off and I spent it taking care of my family. I always make it a point to be with my family on my birthday, if I happen to be in the country. Also since I love shopping, I shopped a lot and after that there was a small celebration with my family.” She further reveals that her brother gifted her an I-pad, “but I am not that tech savvy.” For the one thing that she religiously does on her birthday Rupali says that she makes it a point to visit her stray dogs. “There are nearly 36 of them and I just can’t live without meeting them.” The celebration however are still on for Rupali as she celebrated her birthday with her onscreen kids namely Sparsh, Ravee and Sunny on the sets of this daily today. She took along cakes for these kids. But it is double celebration for her, as her daily completes 100 episodes today. “I believe memories are more important than gifts,” says Rupali. Rohit Roy too celebrated his birthday in a similar fashion. The actor who is currently seen as Mahindra Pratap in Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein (Ravi Ojha Productions) had a small celebration with his family and friends. “It was a fun filled birthday with my kids and family. Though I got many gifts, every single one of it is extremely special to me. I always make it a point to seek the blessings of my mother on my birthday,” says Rohit and adds that he cut two cakes yesterday. The actor, unlike many of his peers, had an off on his birthday. “I have not been shooting for almost two days now; I will go on the sets tomorrow so hopefully a birthday bash with my co actors will also follow,” ends Ronit Roy.
