Bobby Darling: "I am getting what I wanted"

She's soon going there to shoot for a video album titled Hot Bobby Darling and we hear that she's getting her series of gender change operations too done in the Thai capital. She's soon going there to shoot for a video album titled Hot Bobby Darling and we hear that she's getting her series of gender change operations too done in the Thai capital. Bobby, who's lived a courageous career in conservative tellydom by staying a woman in a man's body for long, may just shift to Bangkok and leave Indian shores permanently in the years to come. "The surgeries have been painful, but finally, I am getting what I wanted," she says, smiling that bright infectious smile that's so typically Bobby. She's taken the difficult decision, to go through the surgeries, to finally become the woman she wants to be. Bobby's making a return on the small screen after a long absence after Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi with a role in Contiloe's Le Jayenge Le Jayenge on Star Plus this August, plus a series of films lined up for release in the next few years. But the star, more known for her different sexuality, is comfortable with the idea that she might just settle down in Bangkok after the series of surgeries is over. "I may take up pole dancing and belly dancing as a profession," she surprises you with her decision. Why? "Well, if I happen to get back, I could be labeled as a transsexual and that's definitely not what I am looking for!" Bobby, as we realize while chatting with her, is a very calm and composed person by nature contrary to the role she defines on screen. How so? "Staying alone has made me so. As for the screen effervescence - "Well, I get paid for it!" she laughs. She however seems to have overcome her loneliness at present, and there's a new man in her life. With a broken relationship behind her, Bobby's a cautious person today. "I am yet to understand if this is the true love I have been looking for." "I have been hurt in my previous relationships and now I have become wary about them I will take my time to look for the right guy, some one who is not from the film fraternity, I do not trust them at all, if god has made some one like me I am sure he has also created a partner to give me company life long." The wait for the right guy should not be long as the sex change process she is undergoing at present when complete should be able to find her the right man, painful though it may be but she is willing to undergo the same as long as it transforms her completely into a woman. Till then she keeps herself busy with her new assignments, Balaji's Kya Kool Hain Hum being the last big screen venture she was seen in. And of course, there's Bangkok to look forward to. "I want to catch up on all the fun I have missed out on!" And what exactly could her definition of fun be?. Her eyes twinkle at the very thought of life after the surgery and we leave her at that. One cannot choose the way you are born but you can definitely choose the life you lead and no better person to prove that than Bobby Darling herself. Living life on your own terms, Way to go girl. (Following the posting of this piece on Tellychakkar.com, Bobby telephoned us telling us to take it off as producers were questioning her decision to go to Bangkok and not finish off her assignments. Instead of doing so, we decided to carry her clarification for the television industry and all those who are interpreting what she is saying wrongly. She said that she would be taking it easy on the surgery front. She clarified: "I am not going to settle down in Bangkok or any other country tomorrow. It will take years and years for that to happen. I will live up to all my commitments with all TV and film producers now, and in future." She added that she had undergone four laser treatments. "Five more are pending and I will go ahead with the surgery sometime in future. I need the money to make the transition. And I will continue working. I have had many ups and downs in life and it has been a major struggle getting to where I have. I do not want my career to get affected.")
