The industry mourned the loss of Wajid Khan. He had a successful kidney transplant last year and he was undergoing treatment for throat infection. He tested positive for coronavirus and died due to cardiac arrest.

Filmmaker-screenwriter Basu Chatterjee, best known for directing films like Choti Si Baat, Rajnigandha, Baaton Baaton Mein and Ek Ruka Hua Faisla among more, passed away due to age-related ailments. He was 93.
Crime Patrol actress Preksha Mehta has committed suicide. She was 25.
