MUMBAI: Due to the COVID-19 induced lockdown, several shows have returned to television.

The return of Mahabharat on Star Plus has left fans elated. The show has an amazing star cast including Shaheer Sheikh, Sourabh Raj Jain, and Pooja Sharma along with others.

Producer Sidharth Kumar Tewary and the cast of the show recently connected digitally to discuss the show. During the interaction, Siddharth revealed an interesting detail about casting Riya Deepsi as Gandhari in the show.

Siddharth said, “Being under-aged, Riya played a mother of 100 kids. I remember meeting her after she was finalised for the show. She came to the office along with her mother and that’s when somebody informed me that she is merely seventeen years old”. 

Riya added, “I was like, I was just seventeen and the actors playing my sons were around ten to twelve years elder to me."
